Mixed Media Canvas

Hey All!!  I was busy this weekend.  LOL  Not only did I get my YouTube Video done but I also created this mixed media canvas.  I have been wanting to give this a go for a while now but I was a little hesitant.  But I threw all my reservations to the wind and gave it a go.  :)

I am happy with the way it turned out.  And the process was actually very relaxing.  Just playing with the product and embellies...LOVED it.  :)  I already have plans for the next one.

For the back ground I covered the canvas in tissue paper then used my Crafters Workshop stencil with texture past.  I also added pieces of doilie to add texture.  then I just started layering flowers, metal embellishments, chipboard embellishments.  When I finally got the look I desired I covered the entire canvas with gesso and then sprayed with my Lindy's sprays.  :)

Kiwi Lane Desings Layout Tutorial

Hey all!!

OK I finally made a YouTube video.   You can totally tell that I haven't made one in a long long time LOL.  But I did manage to get through it.  Hahahah

I used my Kiwi Lane Designer Templates to create the layout and of course piecings from Treasure Box Designs.  :)

The file I used from Treasure Box Designs is  Off Road Fun.  My hubby just bought me a new quad so I coudn't resist!!  :)

Tiny Treasures Lady Bug

Hey All!!  Well I am trying to get back into the swing of things and I managed to get a couple piecings done for Treasure Box Design and I made a card for thier upcoming card swap.  Whew!!  LOL 

The card I made using the Tiny Treasure Lady Bug file.  OMG she is really the cutest!!!  Love how the card turned out.  :)

 

 

Here is the card I created.  :)  I used papers from Bo Bunny and a few I Am Roses.  The stamp on the inside of the card came from The Stamps Of Life.

I have also been working on and finally completed the A Day At The Beach file.  :)  I only have the piecings done but hope to get a layout done soon.

Scrapbook Expo!!!

Hey all !!!  Well we made it back safe and sound from the Scrapbook Expo in Utah....and it was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!   The deals there were unbelievable.  Seriously I shouldn't have to go shopping for scrapbooking paper for the next 10 years.  LOL  But we all know that I will be at our local scrapbook store sooner or later...

The trip started out with a little hickup with the vehicle but the FANTASTIC guys at Knight Dodge in Swift Current fixed us up in a hurry and sent us on our way.  :)  Here is a pic of Deanna and Kim with the guy who helped us out...for the life of me I can't remember his name.  LOL

It was a long long long long long long long long drive to Utah!!!  LOL  2 days of straight driving.  I got a little bored and started snapping pics in the van....

I think everyone was going a little stir crazy...hahahah

If you can believe it I don't have ANY pictures of us at the actual Expo.  I will have to get them from the other girls and post them at another time.  :)  Ok Kim just sent me a some pictures....here is one of me outside the doors of the Expo....

We did get to meet Kristine McKay from My Craft Channel.  She is hillarious!!!  :)

We also took a class with Lance the owner of the Rusty Pickle.  :)  Super nice guy!!!  LOVED the class he taught.  Of course I don't have a picture of the album we created...but I do have one of us with Lance.  :)

It was a great trip with fantastic friends!!!  I am soooooooo looking forward to the next one.  :)
